Sci Fi Pistol and Head Models...WIP!!

The game Borderlands has always been an inspiration for me when it comes to making guns.Today I made a futuristic pistol. Here are some occlusion renders...!!

I'm thinking of texturing it tomorrow and also model another gun...a big one this time. Hopefully 24 hrs from now I'll be able to post some renders here.

I'm also doing another head modeling. Finished it in maya and I'm looking forward to texture it in Zbrush and also try out fiber mesh. Here is a couple of  snaps of head model so far.

The nose might seem a little big...but the blueprint guys ethnicity is African..big noses and lips are their primary features

Camaro..!!

I never get tired of modeling cars..!! This time I made the famous Camaro from Chevrolet. Although many times before I've tried making interiors for my former models this is the first time that it actually worked out, and I'm really happy about it. Like all my other models this one is also done in Maya and rendered in Keyshot. I was lavish with the poly count for no particular reason...!!Here are some snaps..!!

Back after a long time

Hell....I don't remember the last time I updated my blog...let me see....25th Jan...!!!!
Here I'm back again. I've been working in a studio as a Modeling and Texturing intern so didn't had time to update the blog like I used to.
If you ask me what I've been doing, well I did another car model (this time Camaro), a shotgun model, and I think I'm getting used to Zbrush even though i'm learning it real slow. The more I learn Zbrush, my mind says it's not just about knowing all the buttons, it's about anatomy, posture,observation and those are the blanks that I'm trying to fill nowadays...!!! Here are some snaps of my updates..!!

And yes another modeling showreel is on its way...!!

Sketching

It's been some time since I have sketched something. So I've been warming up drawing some random sketches in photoshop. Still only getting used to the digitizer, but I think I'm getting somewhere. Here are some them. Drawing the female body was fun and challenging....Damn those curves..!!!

Here is my updated modeling reel...!!


Low Poly Modeling

I spent some time modeling low poly props in Maya. I modeled a bow, an arrow and a quiver. I also unwrapped them using UV texture editor and textured them using Photoshop.

I also used Zbrush and Mudbox to get extract normal maps to bring details the low poly models.

Updates...!!

Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (LIVE LONG AND PROSPER \\\///,-,)

It's been sometime. Lot of travelling here and there for interviews. I was in Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore for the last two months and there was also not much work going around. For the past couple of weeks I've been busy taking wireframe renders for my updated portfolio. So far what I've posted here are all junk if you ask me. I wasn't at all satisfied with the output. So as I said earlier in one of my post, I've been consolidating my works (it's real pain in the ass since my HDD got corrupted) and taking occlusion renders to make a better reel (still, it's old wine in a new bottle).

Meanwhile I thought I would take sometime to explore the new Keyshot 3 and took one of my car models into it.  Here's one render shot
